Travel is a desire for many people in the world. It was mine too. I was born and raised in Kenya, a country recognized globally as an exotic tourist destination, and was exposed to travel from a young age.
My first experience traveling abroad was when I participated in an exchange program in high school, between Germany and Kenya. I loved it!
Since then, I’ve travelled to over 87 countries across Africa, Asia, Europe and North America. And back home in Kenya I’ve been to all 47 counties in Kenya.
It’s been so exciting ticking off items on my bucket list such as:
- Summiting Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa
- Touching the ancient pyramids of Egypt
- Bunge jumping over the magnificent Victoria Falls
- Climbing the 300 steps of the Eiffel Tower in Paris
- Exploring the Grand Canyon in Arizona
- Watching the Water Fountain Spray to music under the Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur
I’ve also travelled by road across Africa from Nairobi to Windhoek, and done the same across the United States from Boston to Los Angeles and back.
Some trips I’ve done on my own, most I’ve enjoyed with others.
It’s been an extraordinary life of adventure and discovery, and all this has been achieved while maintaining a regular 8-5 job as a full time employee (believe it or not)!
Suffice it to say, my vast experiences have enabled me to gain some knowledge, which I’m happy to share with you aspiring and other more experienced travellers, to embolden you to travel more.
The blog posts are compiled to get you excited for your next trip. You’ll get to learn a little bit about each place I’ve been to and the experience of each adventure.
Hopefully they will entertain, educate and inspire you enough to take action and make your travel dreams come true, too!
Enjoy the adventure of life on the move, out and about, beyond your comfort zone… Happy Travels! 🙂
